ABOUT OUR COLLABORATION

Kean–CAU: Accessible Music for All

Since 2015, Kean University’s Music Department and Community Access Unlimited’s Academy of Continuing Education (ACE) have joined forces to create inclusive, empowering music experiences for adults with disabilities.

Through shared concerts and creative projects, ACE members and Kean students perform side by side—singing, drumming, writing, and celebrating the power of music.

Every performance reflects our core belief: music belongs to everyone.

International Alliance of Accessible Music

The International Alliance of Accessible Music (IAAM), led by The Music Man Project UK, connects organizations around the world that are dedicated to inclusive music education and performance. Its mission is to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, has access to meaningful music-making experiences.

We are proud to share that the Kean–CAU Collaborative was officially invited to join this global initiative and named an IAAMM ambassador on May 5, 2025.

"Joining the International Alliance for Accessible Music (IAAM) affirms our commitment to inclusive, creative, and community-driven music making. The Kean/CAU Collaborative is proud to stand alongside educators and artists from around the world who believe that music is a right, not a privilege—and who work every day to ensure that everyone can participate, perform, and belong."
